COMCAST SPORTSNET PHILADELPHIA, Intern January 2013 – May 2013
Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia is a regional sports network operated by the locally-owned Comcast cable television provider, part of the NBC Sports Group. It primarily serves the Philadelphia metro area, but it also covers Southeastern Pennsylvania, all of South Jersey, and most of Delaware.
Duties: Recorded important plays on live Sixers, Flyers, and Phillies games and wrote highlights for the evening and morning news. Interviewed Flyers head Coach Peter Loviolette, as well as Flyers players Matt Read, and Scott Hartnell about one of their second worst seasons. Covered a 2013 Oscar watch party where the eight-time Oscar nominated film Silver Linings Playbook was shot. Gathered Sixers sports news and helped the producer with news specials and packages. Responsible for recording Sixers, Flyers, and Phillies post game press conferences. Gathered information on Sixers head Coach Doug Collins’ resignation after the Sixers did not advance to the Playoffs. Covered the 2013 NFL Drafts, and Super Bowl XLVII. Stayed informed on local and national sports news, I also worked cooperatively as a team member under tight daily deadlines.

Worked on the live setting for the Rowan Television Network Channel 5 live newscast broadcasted across Rowan University. Various positions worked include: writer, producer and prompter operator.

- Hosted the game show, The Great Debate
- Interviewed Bill Cosby, Danny Glover, multi-billionaire and Rowan University namesake Henry Rowan
- Head interviewer for the live Rowan University annual telethon which raised more than $25,000
- National covered stories: Ariel Castro capture, Boston bombings, 2013 NFL drafts, Pope Benedict XVI's resignation, Hurricane Sandy, Rowan University basketball players one thousandth point game
